DESCRIPTION The Maserati Bora by Matchbox represents the best and worst of the 1970's Superfast offerings. The best is that the car was done at all. The only other examples of this mid-engined supercar were cheap Asian offerings. The worst is the colors. Purple with a lime green base-plate and yellow interior, ouch! A later 'Sunburner' version came in black with hot rod flames on the hood! Here is a car begging to be re-issued as a Premier Edition model in correct colors. Even so, the Bora complimented the Ferrari and Lamborghini exotics offered by Matchbox and the colors were right for the age of Aquarius.
