DESCRIPTION A second generation of Penny Cars were produced in the late 1970's and early 1980's by Polistil. These are not as valuable but almost as scarce as the earlier models. Number RJ12 in the series is a Fiat 128 sedan. Windows are clear with a grey interior and the black tires are of a 'superfast' nature. The base no longer reads Penny but now is stamped Polistil. From the list provided in Classic Miniature Vehicles Made in Italy, by Dr. Edward Force, it appears that Polistil did all the Fiat, Ford, Renault, Citroen, Alfa and Volkswagen models of this period, a unique undertaking. | |
