DESCRIPTION A second generation of Penny Cars were produced in the late 1970's and early 1980's by Polistil. These are not as valuable but almost as scarce as the earlier models. Number RJ52 in the series is a Volkswagen Scirocco. Windows are clear with a white interior, the doors open and the black tires are of a 'superfast' nature. This is the only known example of the Scirocco, VW's sporty hatch of the late 1970's. The base no longer reads Penny but now is stamped Polistil. Like many of the Penny Cars, it provides collectors with an opportunity to ad one of the 'missing' cars.
