Expanding the Collection

The following toy cars were purchased by Doug Breithaupt in the previous month. Some are new but others are older diecast acquired from other collectors. The prices paid are also shown. This addition to 'Tales of Toy Cars'. is intended to share recent finds with fellow collectors. 1955 Chevrolet Belair Convertible 'Parade Car' #46 by Matchbox - $.99
The '55 Chevy was the Indy pace car, how about some authentic colors?

1957 Chevrolet Corvette #75 by Matchbox - $.99
Galgo is seldom mentioned in diecast guides but deserves more.

1965 Ford Mustang Fastback #72 by Matchbox - $.99
Luso of Portugal is another little known manufacturer of diecast.

1974 Ford Torino #776 by Johnny Lightning - $2.99
This is the Starsky and Hutch Torino in stock form

1999 Dodge Viper GTS Le Mans GT2 #188 by Johnny Lightning - $3.99
This is the Team Oreca car that won the GT2 class at Le Mans. A great model.
1998 Alfa Romeo Spyder with hardtop #1099 by Yat Ming
Drop the graphics and do it in red please, still, no one else has done it in 1:64.
1978 Toyota Celica by Yat Ming
Received in trade, a nice 1970's car for the collection

1960 Renault 4L #301894 by Norev
Received in trade, this Norev is a charmer, the back opens

1974 Maserati Boomerang #308975 by Norev
This Maserati show car has been on my 'wanted' list for a long time

This is Hot Wheels 3rd casting variation for the 355!

1964 Lincoln Convertible by Hot Wheels - $.99
Great addition to 1:64 diecast but those wheels ruin the look of the car.

A reasonable example of a great car, equal to Maisto's version
1998 Ferrari 550 Maranello by Hot Wheels - $.92
This is the first 550 Maranello in 1:64 scale, thanks HW!

1997 Ferrari F50 Berlinetta #1120 by Hot Wheels - $.92
It is great to see all the new Ferrari models, and nicely done too.

1993 Ferrari 512M #992 by Hot Wheels - $.92
This casting is different from the earlier Testarossa

1998 Ferrari 456M #1118 by Hot Wheels - $.92
The 456 has also been done by Matchbox and Majorette

1998 Ferrari F355 Spider #1119 by Hot Wheels
Again, this is a seperate casting from the earlier 355 Berlinetta.

1955 Chrysler C300 'Petty stocker' by Racing Champions
It is amazing that this is the first Chrysler 300 model ever done in 1:64.
Lets hope Racing Champions offers a stock version of this first 'muscle car'.
1954 Dodge Royal Coupe 'Petty stocker' by Racing Champions
What it lacks in looks it made up for in stock car wins in 1954.

1959 Plymouth Fury 'Petty Stocker' by Racing Champions
Complete with the 'toilet seat' rear deck, this is another fun addition.

1924 Datsun #80 by Tomica
Received in trade, this is the first Datsun ever produced

1970's Lada sedan made in Russia
Received in trade, a charming model and example of Soviet-era diecast.
the maker is unknown but the quality is quite good.
