 DESCRIPTION

The Maserati Merak SS by Tomica represents the best of this fine line of diecast. The casting is excellent, the color is correct, the mid-engine 4-cam V6 is visable and the wheels are nicely scaled to the body. No wonder Tomica models are becoming highly collected world-wide. The Merak was the entry-level exotic of it's day. The mid-engine V6 was designed for the Citroen SM but worked well in the Merak too. As a competitor to the Ferrari Dino, the Merak offered a bonus, tiny back seats. Not surprising, Tomica's Merak is the only example of this fine car done in small-scale, although several Asian copies of the Tomica casting were done.
