DESCRIPTION In the early 1960's, Tootsie Toy produced slightly more sophisticated diecast cars to compete with Matchbox and Husky (Corgi). These cars had base-plates and better wheels. The windows and interiors were still cast with the body like other Tootsie Toys. As these models did not continue, it seems they were not successful. This 1961 Ford is rare as a Tootsie Toy and offers a car done by no other small-scale diecast manufacturer.
